Senior Curator of Collections and Exhibitions, Museum of the Moving Image

Barbara Miller is Senior Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at Museum of the Moving Image in New York, where she organizes exhibitions and directs the content of the Museum’s permanent collection of material culture related to film, television and digital media.  Major projects at MoMI include The Jim Henson Exhibition; Graphic Films and the Inception of 2001: A Space OdysseyThe Animation Art of Chuck Jones; and​ Born Digital: Pathways Towards Preservation​, an Andrew W. Mellon-funded initiative to institute sustainable collection and exhibition practices related to digital media.​ Previously, Barbara applied her academic training in cultural anthropology and media to several documentary projects, including American Roots Music, a four-part PBS series broadcast nationally in 2001, as well as to public policy research and reform.
