Ceri Thompson is the Curator (Coal) at Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales where he oversees Coal mining collections. He holds a G1 Mining Engineering, BA in Welsh History/Welsh Studies.
His research interests include women workers in the Welsh coal industry; Eastern European workers in the Welsh coal industry; Cambrian Colliery explosion (1965); medals and presentation items awarded for the Tynewydd Colliery inundation (1877); and support groups during the 1984/85 Miners’ Strike.
